A total of £591,826 is being awarded to 34 community organisations across South Yorkshire aimed at preventing violence.
The money comes through the Violence Prevention Partnership, which received huge demand for the funding.
The projects being supported include work tackling knife crime, violence against women and girls, youth violence and criminal exploitation.
Other funded work covers coaching and mentoring, along with activities designed to divert people away from violence.
The awards are spread across 34 community organisations working in South Yorkshire.
