Rawmarsh Library & Neighbourhood Hub hosts its weekly Knit & Natter session on Tuesday 6 October.
The group runs from 2pm to 3pm and is free to join. People are invited to bring their knitting along, have a cuppa and meet others in a relaxed setting.
Organisers say it suits anyone, whether they are experienced with the needles or still wondering why their scarf is slowly turning into a triangle.
It is a chance to get out of the house and meet people, and the session is described as proof that sometimes the best Tuesday activity really is just wool and a cup of tea.
The session is run by Rotherham Council.
