People in Hillsborough, Middlewood, Fox Hill and Southey are being asked for their views on major transport proposals.
One of the biggest suggested changes would extend the operating hours of the Hillsborough bus and tram gate to 7am-7pm, Monday to Saturday.
There is also a proposal for a new bus and tram gate on Langsett Road.
A public drop-in session takes place on Tuesday 6 October, from 2pm to 6pm, at Christ Church Hall on Fox Hill Road in Wadsley Bridge.
More than 100 people have already signed an online petition raising concerns about the proposals and their potential impact on local businesses.
The consultation remains open until Wednesday 4 November, so people who live, work or regularly travel through the area can have a say.
